I've purchased my subscription, now what?
Once we receive confirmation of your purchase, you will receive an email with a code that will allow you to register for the classes you want to attend. Your subscription is good for one year so we ask you to keep this in mind and not wait until the last minute to register for your sessions; however, this also gives you plenty of time to use your subscription.
How do I find a list of all of the workshops that are available through my subscription?
Visit the 2020 Lineup page to see all of the workshops that will be available in 2020. Or, take a look at the lineup on the workshops page. Lastly, if you're interested in a particular category of sewing, like "Home Decor" or "Children", we've listed the categories on the workshops page as well.
Is everything included in the price of my subscription?
Just as with regular class fees, some supplies are included in your subscription payment. If a class requires additional supplies, there will be a note about it on the registration page and you can learn more from the listing for the class on our site.
I don't know how to sew, can I just take any of the workshops?
We ask that you attend HOW DOES THIS THING WORK?!? prior to taking any of our other workshops if you've never used a sewing machine before. Some of our classes are better for intermediate sewing enthusiasts and might have prerequisites, which will be noted on the registration page.
I signed up for an October class in January and something has come up. Can I just come to the next class on the schedule?
So sorry, but no! We have participant caps on our workshops and we save you a seat when you register. If you give us 48 hrs notice, we can work something out. While we totally understand that people have lives and schedules and things are bound to come up, we make the subscription affordable as a benefit to those willing to schedule in advance. Your subscription is good for one year so we ask you to keep this in mind and not wait until the last minute to register for your sessions. However, you don't have to schedule everything at once, either.
Okay, but something totally happened out of my control and I really need to cancel.
Cancelations with less than 48 hrs notice will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are at the discretion of Bib & Tucker staff.
What if I want to take 3 workshops but can't find 5 I like; or what if the classes I want are already full?
We will likely add a few more classes to the overall list: especially if several people suggest a class that isn't on the list. Suggestions can be made via email or on the survey we will send to subscription holders from time to time. This is our first time offering this service so we ask for your patience. If there is a very popular class and one that has zero registrants, we will likely make changes as registrations grow. Also, subscriptions at the early bird price are a great deal. Sign up early even if you are only interested in two or three classes...
I took my first workshop and decided that sewing is just not for me. Can I get a refund?
We will not issue refunds, however, we highly encourage participants to take HOW DOES THIS THING WORK?!? prior to purchasing a subscription if they've never sewn before. Furthermore, an Early Bird purchase of a 5 workshop bundle is a little less than 50% off the regular price workshop, so it's a hard bargain to pass up.
Do I have to use one of Bib & Tucker's machines or can I bring my own?
If your machine is portable, we encourage you to bring it to your workshops to get in the habit of using it. However, if you don't have a machine, or yours is hard to transport, you may borrow one of ours at no extra cost. We just ask that you let us know if you'll be bringing a machine or not when you register.
Is my subscription transferable?
At this time subscriptions are not transferable.
When does Early Bird pricing end and what will the new prices be?
October 1, 2019 - December 31, 2019
1 workshop = $50
5 workshops = $175
10 workshops = $200
January 1, 2019 - September 30, 2019
1 workshop = $65
5 workshops = $225
10 workshops = $300
I think I might prefer one-on-one instruction. And/or - I have an idea for a project that isn't one of the workshops listed. Is there anything for me?
You would be most happy working with Sonya Muhammad in one-on-one sewing sessions. The process for signing up with Sonya is located below the 2020 workshop lineup on the workshops page.
