What do you do when you’re not at Bib & Tucker?
I practice sewing, read a lot. Watch a little television.
What does Bib & Tucker mean to you?
Its my outlet, its something I can do to pass time and meet new people, learn new things. Somewhere to go and fellowship and to learn, learn how to do things that I didn't know how to use.
Where are you from?
Originally born in Mississippi, grew up in New York City spent my adult hood in New York.
What is your favorite thing about Woodlawn?
The quietness, the neighbors. People are very friendly and look out for one another.
What is your favorite color? Why?
Green and Brown. I've always been attracted to green and brown, Its earthy and springy.
What school did you go to? What was your favorite subject or who was your favorite teacher?
Rolling Fork Elementary in Mississippi. Favorite teacher was Ms. Bell because she was stern and fair. She made sure everything you did was up to par. English was my favorite subject. I loved grammar, and writing.
What is a story (try to be nice) that you can tell about another member?
Ms. Annie was the first member I got close to when I got here. She is funny, bold, out spoken. She's never met a stranger. We first met at the first Bib and Tucker building. She was very welcoming and friendly and got me working immediately.
What is something you want to tell the other members about yourself, our community?
I'm friendly, easy to get along with, easy to learn. I try to look out for other people. I always ask about people and care for people.
